(Ella texts Sam “Can I talk to you its urgent”. Sam walks through the entrance towards the common room. Sam opens the door to the common room, approaches Ella.)

Sam: hey I got your text, what’s up? Is everything alright?

Ella: No, not really, I’m so annoyed right now

Sam: why?

(They both sit down at the table)

Ella: Because I got robbed yesterday by some idiots, that £50 I was meant to pay you back today, it got stolen!

(Sam’s jaw drops)

Ella: (high tone voice) I’m really sorry Sam! I’ll sort something out

Sam: No I needed the money today! Why are you so irresponsible?

Ella: what do you mean ‘irresponsible’? It wasn’t even my fault

Sam: yeah but how you gonna let them to take my money though?

Ella: why are angry at me? What was I meant to do? they threatened to hurt me

Sam: Yeah but now what am I going to do

Ella: I don’t know but surely you shouldn’t be blaming me, your being pathetic

Sam: Ella don’t test me, it was my money

Ella: I don’t care Sam, I’m not taking your crap, and you don’t speak to me like that

Sam: (raises her voice) what’s wrong with you? I should be the one who’s mad!

Ella: No Sam, you were being rude to me. I literally have no energy for this

(Ella stands up and removes her bags from the table)

Sam: Really? Are you really gonna be like that?

Ella: Yeah and I won’t even bother getting the £50 I still owe you. You disrespected me.

Sam: (laughs) No you’re not! You’re paying me back! Stop being petty and grow up who do you think you are!

Ella: Whatever Sam. I can’t be bothered for this, I’m going to my lesson

(Ella walks towards the common room door and leaves the room)

Evaluation: Question 6

Q: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? The Internet I used the internet throughout for our prelim task and main task mainly for research and when finding background music for our main task. Using the BFI Statistical Yearbook site, I gathered statistical information such as facts and figures to help gather research in relation to our choice of genre and our target audience. I also used Wikipedia to research existing horror/thriller films to get an understanding of what type of conventions a popular horror film has and their elements as well as looking at different distribution companies.  Camera We used the CANON 500D to film our film opening. The camera was quite lightweight meaning it was easy to hold for long periods of time as our shots were hand-held. I learnt how to handle the camera, which settings were the correct ones to choose and other important elements. This helped throughout the process because a...

Evaluation: Question 2

One way our media product represents social groups is through mise-en-scene. The actors are usually on their mobile phones where it is teens stereotypically for teens to be quite anti-social and always texting or communicating on their smartphones. Also, the setting shows a young social group as in an alley you wouldn't tend to find adults unless they are walking through whereas teens use this type of place to get up to trouble and all sorts. The setting is important as it creates a narrative and creates enigma such as the audience wondering "Why are they there", "What are they doing there" and to think a bad event is about to happen. The clothes work by the actors are casual, ty...
